shame with a super side of guilt, if you ask me. Only my opinion, thought

short and stocky, dammit!

i saw it as a self-perception error at first, but when i read your authors note about guilt and shame, it made me realize that makes more sense.
either way, such a powerful message with so few words.
i love haikus. and you.

Hey, I just made an account on here and started really getting involved in poetry in the last couple of months. I saw your poem on the "recent submissions" page or whatever it's called. I must say that I really liked this poem. Regardless of how short it is, it's very good, probably because it is so simple. I feel that it could be explaining (not personally for you) the hatred one might feel for themselves, or the disappointment. I liked how you made it interesting by saying "editing portraits" rather than something simple and cliche like, "looking in the mirror".

I will have to check out some of your other works. And if you happen to get a chance, you may like some of my stuff, maybe not. Regardless, I enjoy feedback.

I see shame.
Very powerful. Your haikus are wonderful.

It seems like a perception error to me, since it involved editing.

Shame, most likely.

make a map of what you see; direct pain effectively.

at first i saw it as a self-perception error, but then once i read it over a few more times, it sorta morphed into a guilt thing.
