it's one a.m. and i feel
so small.
i am a fissure in the concrete,
a second burned by time.
i'm looking through black air
with eyes too wide, still
taking in nothing. it's blackblack
black, and our coconut sunrise is
four hours west;
a million miles, a million miles.
we'll waste our days sitting
in the dark, a little too close
for comfort, a little too far
for contact. and in the night,
we'll tether fishlines to stars
and pull them to the ground.
[they've fallen for our act,
hook,
line,
sinker.]
oh, we are going nowhere,
and we are going there fast.
let's pray the west winds
take us away.

Dreams can come true, but never fantasies, if you nurture a fantasy, it'll most likely get broken.

Tell me if you want to be
Lonely or if there should be
Someone else tell me it's me
Let's run away in the rain
The whole thing is very nice, though. I just love your word choice, and as always, I am utterly jealous of your talent. D;

Fly me away,
take me away,
I love the juxtaposition in the entire peice.
Looking through black air
Going nowhere, and going there fast.
That is all I can give you
